Linux for the Xilinx ML403
- July 2007 - This is the ALSA driver for the AC97 Controller of the Xilinx ML403 PowerPC Reference Design. This driver has been tested using the Xilinx ML403 Embedded Platform running Linux 2.6.19. Please download and un-tar ml403_ac97cr-0.0.1-pre1.tar.bz2 and look into ml403_ac97cr/README.
- Update April 2008 - In the meantime this ALSA driver has made it into the official Linux kernel sources.

In the Xilinx Xcell Journal Issue 66: Extend the PowerPC Instruction Set for Complex-Number Arithmetic we have described how to use the PowerPC APU inside the Virtex5FXT devices to extend the PowerPC's instruction set for embedded system optimization. Here is the Xilinx APU reference design for the Xilinx ML507 Board, as well as the Xilinx APU reference design for the Xilinx ML403 Board.
